How CQI Works For You
Step 1
ASSESSMENT AND ANALYSIS
Evaluate current concept, system, function and process including available data documents such as NCQA, JCAHO, URAC, CARF State and Federal accreditation survey documents, financial reports, referral sources, customer and employee satisfaction questionnaire results, productivity and outcomes measurements. One-on-one interviews with key staff and customers may also be performed. Assessments are done in the most cost-effective manner, usually within two or three days onsite.
Step 2
REPORT AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Information gathered in Step 1 will be evaluated and documented in a comprehensive written report with comparison to other similar organizations or national data, as appropriate. Structural strengths will be compiled, along with trend analysis and highlighted opportunities for function and process improvements. The report will also provide a baseline analysis of existing documents and work plans with suggested areas of improvement. Reports can be done usually within 48 hours of receipt and evaluation of all requested data.
Step 3
PROPOSAL AND PROJECT PLAN
The completed report in Step 2 becomes the basis for a contract proposal and plan of action which includes identification of key operational strategies development, stages of implementation, provision of specific opportunities to enhance existing internal core competencies within established timeframes, research and resource recommendations, training needs, and anticipated costs and timelines.
Step 4
DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
A comprehensive Project Management document will be developed through the use of CQI team facilitation and tools. A strategic design and development team composed of a CQI staff member and key client organizational stakeholders will be implemented. This team will work in concert with CQI to promote the synergistic momentum and relationships to create and educate others regarding the operational change activities, following the timeline outlined in Step 3.
Step 5
ONSITE TRAINING AND EDUCATION SEMINARS
Based on client needs, customized training programs, including competency evaluation and small group facilitation instruction, is provided. Where management education is desirable, CQI provides one-on-one personalized coaching. Resources and reference materials are obtained to enhance the adult learning experience and offsite educational opportunities can be arranged at a similar organization. Prepared educational seminars for larger groups can also be provided on an as needed basis to facilitate process development, implementation or to support continuous improvement.
Step 6
IMPLEMENTATION AND FACILITATION
According to the agreed upon design plan, CQI will team-lead the implementation of the Project based on timeline elements. Where issues occur which cause considerable impediment to the implementation, progression or completion of the Project, CQI will facilitate the process and change relationships, along with key members of the organizations strategic design and development team, to determine acceptable options. CQI will provide an assessment of the positive and negative aspects of each option, utilizing available data, and facilitate the teams decision making process to synergistically arrive at the desired outcome.
Step 7
MEASURE, MONITOR AND CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT
Once the principle elements of the Project are implemented, CQI will assist the organization in developing indicators, evaluating outcomes and benchmarking, where possible, against other data sources. CQI will also make recommendations for structure, function and process improvement based on data results and assist the client in documentation of accreditation compliant activities against standards, as well as software selection support. The organization determines the depth and length of support desired based on accreditation and regulatory needs.
